Terms & Conditions
The terms governing your use of this website and our service.
Last updated: 4 June 2026
1. About these terms
These terms govern your use of the Electrician Contact website and our service connecting customers with licensed electricians. By using this website or posting a job, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
2. What we do
Electrician Contact is a marketplace that introduces customers to licensed electricians and facilitates quotes. We are not an electrician and do not provide electrical services ourselves. Any electrical advice, repairs, installations, certification or services are provided by the independent electrician you book, under their own terms.
3. Posting a job
When you post a job you agree to provide accurate information about it. Posting a job does not create a contract with any electrician — it is an invitation for matched electricians to assess your job and respond with a quote. No booking exists until you accept a quote and book an electrician.
4. Electricians, licensing & booking
Electricians on the platform represent that they hold a current state electrical licence — for example with NSW Fair Trading or Energy Safe Victoria — and that they hold public liability insurance. The services you receive are governed by the agreement between you and the electrician you book, which prevails over this website. We facilitate the introduction and the deposit; we are not a party to that agreement.
5. Prices, deposits & quotes
Posting a job and comparing quotes is free for customers. Quotes are prepared by individual electricians and are indicative until confirmed by the electrician. When you choose an electrician, you pay a small deposit through Electrician Contact to book them, which goes towards the job. The electrician's quote sets out the total price and how any remaining balance is paid.
6. No guarantee of outcomes
While we verify electricians' licensing and insurance, we do not guarantee any particular electrician, quote, price, repair, installation, compliance outcome or result. You are responsible for selecting the electrician that suits your job and for satisfying yourself as to their suitability before you book them.
7. Website use
The content, branding and design of this website are owned by us or our licensors and may not be copied or reused without permission. Images may be illustrative of services and quality. We aim to keep information accurate but do not warrant that it is complete or error-free.
8. Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes rights or guarantees you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded. Subject to that, to the maximum extent permitted by law our liability arising from this website and our introduction service is limited to re-supplying the relevant service.
9. Privacy
Our handling of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and you submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that State.
